Follow Up on the Rabbit Story

Just so you guys won't worry about the rabbit from the rabbit story yesterday...you'll be happy to know that Clark, Amy and I captured it this morning!

Church Planting...with Tom Brokaw

If you didn't catch it on Friday - a new church planting friend of mine, Tadd Grandstaff, was interviewed by Brokaw of NBC Nightly News about his new church, Pine Ridge Church in Burlington, NC. They were doing a story on political trends with young evangelical pastors...how they're moving away from their parents' style of mixing religion and politics.

It was a good story, though as Tadd pointed out in his blog, they missed a few things along the way. Not surprising, considering it was a 3 minute spot and the producers come in with their own agenda (and look to prove it sometimes with creative editing).

Great job, Tadd, for standing firm and true to the Gospel.

Make sure you check out Tony Morgan's blog. Tony writes with a lot of knowledge and insight into the church and the ever-evolving world of communications, technology, and internet - especially as it relates to ministry and reaching more people. Very insightful stuff.

I'm thankful for...

My incredible wife! She truly is the most amazing person I know.

My 3 amazing kids. They are crazy but I love them, they are everything to me. I can't imagine life without them. It doesn't matter how bad my day could be, when I realize I am coming home to these 4 people, nothing else matters.

Our Connection Church family - life wouldn't be the same without you. I'm am encouraged by your faithfulness and energy for God and His purpose for us.

Our Connection Group - you guys rock! Seriously - the best group we've ever been a part of. I'd put you up against any other group out there.

My fellow church planters out there - too many to mention, but there are some awesome guys doing incredible work in Charlotte, NC, and the entire southeast.
